Our sojourn into festival site planning took on new dimensions with the staging of ‘Carnevale’ at Rythymtree, the ‘Shady Lady’ ship stage was a first introduction, but the creation of a carnival arena within the festival gave rise to a unique programme of local and community based presentations. As part of the ‘Worlds within Worlds’ project, we have developed year on year, an identifiable common space for dreams to come true. Schools, youth groups, dancers, drum groups, musicians and costumed performances. A feature of the festival has become the grand parade of ‘Carnevale’ groups and performers throughout the Rythymtree site. A haven for the artistic within us and a place to dream into the future is bound into Our Festival home.
