Our work on the Platinum Jubilee Pageant is the largest project that Shademakers have taken on to date. Over 250 performers from the Isle of Wight and Gosport, along with bands from Glasgow and Portsmouth, were recruited to help bring The Queen’s Beasts to life. The performers were split into their nations and rehearsed in a large horse riding arena in the heart of the Island. 

A small army of volunteers worked with the Shademakers team to create the large scale costumes at our new base at Department in Ryde. Many of the costumes were upgraded and enhanced from our extensive collection of kinetic costumes and a number of costumes were built from scratch especially for this event.
