Equida is a troupe of 20 skeletal horses with skeletal riders. All white, carrying white flags, each puppet is animated by a single performer. Inspired by a Sicilian 15th century fresco by an anonymous artist, the horses appear ghost like, which is increased in effect with illumination for night time presentation. A series of steps and manoeuvres adds to the animated movement of these kinetic costumes in processional and/or stage presentation. The riders have interchangeable uniform from Greco-Roman, Georgian and British WW1 Cavalry.
